Your ankles are small, but mighty in their purpose. With their primary task of bearing the full weight of your body, those whose ankles are inflicted with arthritis know full well the pain that results. Often endured for years, the pain, stiffness and swelling from disappearing ankle cartilage and the bone-on-bone contact can make it difficult to perform the simplest activities.
