The Flu’s Powerful Punch

If you have inflammatory arthritis, be careful to watch for complications if the flu hits you, says a Cleveland Clinic expert.

For many, the common flu is an almost expected wintertime annoyance. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), each year on average 5 to 20 percent of the population gets the flu, and more than 200,000 people are hospitalized from seasonal flu-related complications.
