How To Choose—And Use—A Cane And Walker

If pain keeps you homebound, consider these helpers. You have nothing to lose but your immobility.

Is the arthritic pain in your knee or hip keeping you from taking an occasional stroll around the block? Is it a chore to browse the shelves of your local supermarket? If so, do yourself a favor by trying a cane or, if your discomfort is especially severe or widespread, a walker.
