Loosen the Grip of Chronic Pain
Taking an active role in your care and attacking your pain from multiple angles can improve your function and quality of life.
Aristotle once wrote "The aim of the wise is not to secure pleasure, but to avoid pain." For many people with chronic pain, living pain-free is a lofty aim they may never reach, regardless of wisdom. Whenever you sprain your ankle or strain ligaments, you experience acute pain, the intense, usually brief pain signaling an underlying problem. Conversely, chronic pain may remain long after an acute injury resolves, persisting for months, years, or even a lifetime.
