Elbow epicondylitis is a painful condition of the tendon that attaches your forearm muscles to the elbow. When the pain is on the lateral elbow, or outside, it is often called tennis elbow. When it affects the medial elbow, or inside the joint, it is often called golfer’s elbow. Both come from repetitive motions that lead to tendon tissue breakdown and weakness, sometimes even tears.
