"When your joints havent moved for a long period of time," says Gary Calabrese, director of Sports Health and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation at Cleveland Clinic, "your synovial fluid, the lubricating fluid in and around your joints, settles." The key to easing morning stiffness is getting the body prepared prior to getting out of bed.
