If you have osteoarthritis (OA), theres new research that shows a complex association between the condition and sleep disturbances, disability and depressive symptoms. Published in Arthritis Care & Research (Oct. 2014), the study examined the cycle of distress those with OA experience. The researchers questioned 288 patients with knee OA about sleep disturbances, pain, and disability and depressive symptoms.
