Research shows a low-carb diet beats going low fat, yet experts warn that focusing on high protein isnt for everyone.

There are literally hundreds of thousands of diets, and now research has shown that one type is particularly effective for weight loss and reducing cardiovascular risk. Known as the low-carb diet, the approach avoids consuming too many carbohydrates-particularly the heavily refined starches found in bagels, white pasta and crackers-and focuses on eating foods with healthy fats.
