An aching shoulder or hip joint might seem to be osteo-arthritis (OA). After all, more than 32 million adults in the United States have this form of arthritis. But if these joints are especially stiff in the morning and they loosen up throughout the day, a less common condition called polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) might be worth investigating.
