If physical therapy doesn't relieve pain, injections may help


About three-quarters of adults suffer with back pain at some point in their lives. It may stem from a problem with the structures in and around the lumbar spine. For about 15% to 30% of people with low back pain, the cause is slightly lower down, in the sacroiliac (SI) joints.
