Burning Away Back Pain with Radiofrequency Ablation

Using heat energy to temporarily destroy or stun the spinal nerves is an alternative for many with back pain.

Treating chronic spinal pain can be tricky. The spine’s flexibility, formed by a complex series of segments, allows us to twist and turn and every movement in between. And when the facet joints—or the joints found at every spinal level, which interact with a corresponding joint from the vertebrae above it to work together and guide spinal motion—are impacted by osteoarthritis (OA), each movement can seem frozen in time and pain relief elusive.
