Strengthen Key Muscles to Avoid Knee Pain

While strengthening the quadriceps muscles at the front of your thigh is important to prevent knee pain, a strong vastus medialis obliquus (VMO) at the inside of the thigh is also needed to maintain proper kneecap alignment. These five moves can help you strengthen the VMO and other key muscles surrounding the knee.
